Description

Northern Light is a true breeding mostly indica hybrid (90% indica and 10%). It is derived from Afghani and Thai genetics, inbred since 1980`s. The plants have a rapid flowering time of 7-8 weeks, perfect for growers wanting big yields quick. It is sturdy and squat in appearance, with multiple branches, like a Christmas tree. The leaves are dark and the leaflets are wide, this variety requires higher levels of nitrogen. Various training methods are recommended such as SOG, SCROG, LST and Supercropping. The buds are large, solid, abundant in resin and has a good flower to leaf ratio, so the grower can save time on the trimming. The plants don’t produce an overpowering scent while growing, it is possible, to grow them discreetly.

Northern Light has an intense body stone, which relaxes the muscles and calms the mind. It is best suited for evening times, or when there is not much to do, because it has the potential to be narcotic. The scent is typically sour, with proper curing of the buds a hint of honey is noticeable.

One of the most influential variety, it is often used as a parent plant in hybrids.
